Co-founder and Principial of Candela Professional Group, Marilyn Surber founded Candela in April 2024. CPG offers a comprehensive suite of services aimed at driving growth, enhancing profitability, and positioning itself as one-stop destination for industry solutions. Marilyn is also VP of Sales and Marketing for Drivers Legal Plan. Marilyn has been a part of the transportation industry since 2008. She is passionate about serving the transportation industry and is an advocate for the transportation community. She has over 15 years’ experience in corporate communication, industry relations, recruiting, safety and driver training. Before joining Drivers Legal Plan Marilyn served in several roles with Tenstreet, Melton Truck Lines, and Hilti, Inc. Marilyn holds a bachelor's degree in communication from The University of Tulsa. She served on the Board of Directors for the Commercial Vehicle Training Association, where she was named Member of the Year in 2019 and was selected by Oklahoma Magazine as a Top 40 under 40 for the state of Oklahoma in 2019. In addition, Marilyn was named a Woman To Watch In Transportation in 2023 by the Women In Trucking Association. Marilyn is an active member of American Trucking Association, Truckload Carriers Association, Florida Trucking Association, North Carolina Trucking Association, Commercial Vehicle Training Association, and the National Association of Publicly Funded Truck Driving Schools. Additionally, Marilyn serves on the Women In Motion Advisory Board for ATA, the Women Executive Council and Network for the Florida Trucking Association, and the North Carolina Trucking Association Women In Trucking Advisory Board.

Brad Klepper is the President of Drivers Legal Plan. Brad Klepper graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Oklahoma City University School of Law, receiving four separate American Jurisprudence awards for academic excellence and obtained a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma.

Brad spent almost a decade with the largest law firm in Oklahoma where his practice included extensive experience in transactional law, business defense litigation, and intellectual property.

In addition, Brad is a licensed architect and serves as General Counsel to the Oklahoma Board of Architects, Landscape Architects and Interior Designers. Before becoming General Counsel, Brad served as an Administrative Law Judge for the Oklahoma Board of Architects, Landscape Architects and Interior Designers

Brad currently serves on the Arkansas Trucking Association Board and The Truckload Carriers Association Board of Directors, as well as being active with several other charity boards, including those focusing on higher education and non-profit services.

Brad is the co-founder and principal of Candela Professional Group. Candela provides an opportunity for Brad to expand his reach in the transportation industry while helping motor carriers become safer and more profitable.

Jim Klepper is the founder and Chairman of Drivers Legal Plan. Jim received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and his Juris Doctorate from the Oklahoma City University School of Law.

Jim started his law career as a prosecutor in Seminole, Hughes, and Pontotoc counties (OK) representing the government in countless traffic-related hearings. He currently holds licenses to practice law in 16 states, as well as numerous federal, district, circuit, chancery courts, and the United States Supreme Court.

Jim is a Past-Chairman and former member of the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Trucking Association; a former member of the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Trucking Association, the Truckload Carriers Association and Past-Chairman and member of the Oklahoma Humane Society. He has also served multiple times on the Board of the American Trucking Association.

Jim is excited to start a new venture in the transportation industry, Candela Professional Group. This new company allows Jim to use his years of knowledge and experience to help motor carriers and associates in the transportation industry streamline and improve their businesses.

Kole Kennemer is an experienced executive in operations and finance. His experience and successes include roles such as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Executive Director, and Business Consultant across many industries. Kennemer is passionate in supporting the hard-working men and women across our country earn and keep their money, and has been in the trucking industry since 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, and Management from Oklahoma State University, and has additional experience within the United States House of Representatives, where he gained insights into tax laws and legislative processes. Kennemer's work ethic, business acumen, and commitment to excellence allows him to bring value to the companies and clients he serves.
